Remnant

The remnant collection has been created from scrap silver. Metal destined to be refined and made new again. The edges of other things, the off-cuts, the mistakes, the discarded.

The aim is to push my materials to their limit, challenging myself to control my flame as I give the once discarded elements new life. To let the materials guide the process and the final piece to speak for itself.

A Selection of five brooches from the Remnant collection were exhibited at ANCA Gallery in Canberra in 2023.
